Gregory Fink

Gregory Laurence Fink, 72, of Fairton, NJ passed away on April 19th, 2018. His final days were spent with family and friends that he had touched throughout his remarkable life. He was born August 20st, 1945 in Jamaica, NY to Edmund and Helen Fink and spent most of his childhood in New Hyde Park, NY. He attended college at the US Merchant Marine Academy and after graduation, served as an engineer. He continued his education at The University of Pennsylvania (MA in Risk and Insurance) and Rutgers University (MBA). Greg utilized this education to teach, a passion in his life, eventually becoming a tenured professor at Stockton College in New Jersey until 2010. He and his wife, Mary Beth, also owned a private accounting practice for many years in Millville, NJ which served many of the local business and residents. Greg had many passions in his life, but most enjoyed spending time with his loved ones at Paradox Lake in the New York Adirondack park. He also loved fly fishing and spent many hours watching the water pass by his feet with his friends and family. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and nature, and never tired of trying to find a longer way to get between any two points on a map. Greg and his wife also enjoyed escaping the New Jersey winters to Jamaica for many years, and relocated to Florida in 2012 to enjoy the sunshine more permanently. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Beth DeBello, his two sons, Michael and Gregory and their spouses, his brother, Jonathan and his sister Priscilla. Greg will be forever remembered by his many cousins and the extended family he deeply loved. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Adirondack Mountain Club, 814 Goggins Road Lake George, NY 12845, an organization that helps support the preservation of the wilderness that he held so dear.
