Concord, CA – Gregory Lawrence Hunter, 78, of Concord, CA, passed away on Monday, May 20th, 2024.

Born on July 31st, 1945 in Oakland CA, he was the son of Edward Lawrence Hunter and Mary Lauretta McDermott-Hunter. He was married to Judy Hunter, and they shared 7 children between them.

He worked for AC Transit for 38 years and was known for his commitment to his church, involvement with The Elks Lodge in Walnut Creek, his passion for RV’ing, boating and camping with his kids, grandkids and friends.  He touched many lives with his generosity of time and love for friends and family alike.

He is survived by his wife Judy Hunter, his siblings Therese Herget, Lucienne Smith, Laurie Manning, Madelaine Durand and Kevin Hunter, his children Tim Hunter, Kerri Chrysty, Chris Hunter, Lisa Robinson and Cindy Robinson, his grandchildren Tony Churchwell , Joshua Simmons, Cody Marrero, Juliet Dorris, Christian Marrero, Hannah Chrysty and Mia Chrysty along with several great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at Christ the King Church in Pleasant Hill on Thursday, June 20th @ 10:30am.
