Guido Feruglio
February 12th, 1981 - December 27th, 2015
Beloved U.S. Army Combat Veteran Guido Giovanni Feruglio passed on to Warrior Heaven, Valhalla, on Sunday December 27th, 2015, at the age of 34. He was a dearly loved husband, father, son, and brother. He was born in Cali, Colombia in February 12th, 1981. Guido graduated from High School Centro Profesional de Estudios Tecnicos y Financieros Colombia. He emigrated to the U.S. with family, settling in the Phoenix area around 2004. He is survived by his Wife Veronica Gonzalez Feruglio, whom he met in 2005, and his 3 year old son, Jacob Feruglio. He is also survived by his Mother Lida Feruglio of Cali, Colombia, his best friend of 11 years Frank, and many other beloved family and friends. Guido served in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman for 4 years deploying to Combat in Afghanistan with 2nd Infantry Division, based from Joint Base Lewis McChord, twice, lastly with Alpha Co 52nd Infantry Regiment "Spartans", 2-17 FA BN Task Force Steel in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 12-13, Kandahar Province Afghanistan. Achieving the rank of Specialist E-4, he excelled in his knowledge and experience of weapons and equipment maintenance, and was a big asset to his unit. His awards include the Combat Infantrymans Badge, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal 2nd Award, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Afghanistan Service Ribbon, NATO and the Army Service Ribbon. While assigned, his unit received the Valorous Unit Award, and Presidential Unit Citation. After his Army service, Guido studied at the Universal Technical Institute of Arizona. He achieved his Associates of Occupational Studies Auto Diesel Technology. Services were attended by his Wife Veronica and son Jacob, his Mother Lida of Cali Colombia, many other family, many dear friends, and 18 members of his last Army Unit that came from all over the continental U.S. And Alaska. A Celebration of Life for Guido Feruglio was held on Sunday, January 3rd at Ministerios Príncipe de Paz. Mortuary services were provided by Regency Mortuary of Sun City, AZ. Funeral Services were held on Monday January 4th, followed by final internment at Greenwood/Memory Lawn Mortuary & Cemetery. An educational fund in the name of Guido Feruglio will be established for his son Jacob Feruglio, and soon will be posted to this listing with Regency Mortuary. "Until we meet again in Valhalla!"
