Gurard Jimmie O’Neal, 62, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019. The husband of Rita Booth O’Neal, Gurard was born December 11, 1956 to the late Edward and Goldie Tackett O’Neal in Fleming, Kentucky. A fan of all sports, and former football, basketball, and baseball player, Gurard was a man with a wicked sense of humor and took great pride in his yard. He loved his family, and adored his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Rita, Gurard is survived by his daughter, Michelle Holbrook, Louisville; son, Gary O’Neal, Georgetown; his 9 siblings; and grandchildren, Lindsey O’Neal, Allison O’Neal, Brooks O'Neal, Makenna Holbrook, and Lillian Holbrook. Gurard was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Goldie Tackett O'Neal, as well as an infant brother. Services will be private.
