Guy Bracken Campbell
January 19th, 1943 - November 5th, 2021
Guy Bracken Campbell, a lifelong resident of Ione, Ca, died November 5, 2021, after a short illness. Guy is survived by his loving brothers Leroy Campbell of Jackson, CA, Ronnie (Sharel) Campbell of Crescent City and sister JoAnn (Campbell) Kromfols (Stan) of Valley Springs, CA; as well as his children Pam Rutledge (Roland), Sonora, CA; Barbie Girard, Ione CA and Robert J. Campbell, Ione, CA. Grandchildren Justin, Jason (Kelsey), Jeremy (Mallory), Jacob (Jessica) Rutledge; Richie (Jacalyn) and James (Larissa) Rhodes, Nathan Campbell (Haylee). His great-grandchildren: Jason, Jack, and Luna Ruth Rutledge; Ariel, Madeline, Kevin, and Reagan Rhodes. His passing is preceded by the love of his life, his wife, Ruth, his loving parents Lynn and Merle Campbell and son Scott Lewis Campbell. Guy was born in Salt Lake City Utah January 19,1943. Ione has been his home since 1945 when his parents relocated. Guy loved hunting and fishing. Many memories were created with his family in the local foothills and nearby mountains. Guy made lifelong friends in the old Ione neighborhoods and schools. He left home in 1961 to serve in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. Upon his return he lived and worked in Indigo Ca. It was there he met his love and wife Ruth. He and Ruth returned to Ione in 1967 to raise a family. Guy worked as a supervisor/foreman at the local plants. Guy was a loving son and father he will be remembered and missed by many.
