Centerville: Gwendolyn W. Brantley, 71, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday at Shirley Hills Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Drs. Napp N. Granade and Andy Cook will officiate. Mrs. Brantley was born in Rochelle, GA to the late Oscar and Rosa Lee Peterman Walker. She was a member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church where she played the piano for 40 years. Her husband, Melvin Brantley, siblings Donnie Walker and Phelice Walker, and grandchildren Sophia and Camellia Brantley all preceded her in death. Survivors include her children: Mike Stacy Brantley of Panama City, FL, Cissi Greg Goolsby of Lilburn. Siblings: Gatha Moore of Houston, TX, Verda Mains of Many, LA. Grandchildren: Alex Brantley, Tori Brantley, C. J. Brantley, Jake Brantley, Callie Goolsby, Drew Goolsby and Hayden Goolsby. Great granddaughter Anabella Rasky. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Saturday at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
