H. Edison Kenyon IIH. Edison “Ed” Kenyon II of Eugene died Dec. 26 of age-related causes. He was 86. A celebration of life is planned.He was born May 23, 1926, in Philadelpha to Harry and Astrid Sorensen Kenyon. He married Dorothea Eppard on Aug. 28, 1952, in Beckley, W.Va. She died July 24, 1997.He graduated from Abington High School in 1944. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Temple University in 1951. He worked at several newspapers and worked at The Register-Guard for 22 years, retiring in 1988.Survivors include two sons, H. Edison “Kit” III and Geoff, both of Eugene; three daughters, Karen Hibler, Katherine Kenyon and Julie Kenyon, all of Eugene; a brother, Kirk of Harleysville, Pa.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.Private family burial will be at Kenyon Family Cemetery. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to The Nature Conservancy.
