Hamilton Budge Sr.Hamilton “Whit” Budge Sr. of Eugene died Aug. 27 of age-related causes. He was 84. A private celebration of life will be held in the San Francisco Bay Area.He was born June 18, 1928, in Honolulu to Alexander and Ruth Budge. He married Elaine Walton on Feb. 24, 1951, in San Francisco. She died April 10, 2000. He married Claudia Waggoner on June 10, 2001, in Tiburon, Calif.He graduated from Stanford University in 1950 and from Cornell Law School in 1955. He served as an ensign in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Mason in the Sea of Japan during the Korean War. He spent 34 years as an attorney for the San Francisco law firm of Brobeck, Phleger and Harrison, as an associate, partner and managing partner.Survivors include his wife; a son, Whit Jr. of Eugene; two daughters, Nancy Budge of Boise and Sydney Bissett of Lake Oswego; a brother, William of Hillsborough, Calif.; and four grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to the California Academy of Science, Development Dept., in San Francisco.
