Harold Joseph Breshon

Harold Joseph Breshon Jr. (Harry) November 8, 1944-March 18, 2009 Harry was born in Chehalis, Washington on November 8, 1944. He has three sisters Dorothy, Ruth, and Karen and a brother Jack. He graduated from Winlock High school in 1962 and moved to Tacoma in 1963 to continue his schooling. He began working at Western Wright Marine that year. In 1964 he got married and started a family. He had 3 sons. Paul was born in 1964 and now lives in Port Orchard, Wa. Chris was born in 1966 and passed in 1992. Patrick was born in 1968 and still resides in Tacoma. Harry worked in a few machine shops through20his many years, honing his skills until the late 80s or very early 90s until he started Breshon Machine. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Sr. and Violet, his sister Karen, and his son Chris. Over the past several days I have received many calls, e-mails, and comments about my father’s skills as a machinist and his ability to make parts at a fair price, and on occasion parts that other people could not even attempt to make. On most any Boeing jet you would fly on, if you search hard enough, you may find a part that he built. He even talked about parts built for possible use on the space shuttle, but not the o ring. Whether it was specialty parts for the Navy, or controls for a cigarette boat, if it was made of metal he could build it. He would even build parts for Harley Davidsons, if you asked nicely. One of his great loves, besides his work, were his motorcycles. He belonged to a motorcycle club of Saber owners, and God did he love that bike. You could get the biggest smile from h im if you asked him about his long rides with lifelong friends Ron and Steve. There’s even a picture, if you dig deep enough, of Harold with his mother on the back of his bike. Harold was a small-town farm boy living in the big city of Tacoma. Yet, he still kept in contact with classmates from high school. You can take the boy out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the boy. Something you never wanted to do was try to compare grandchildren with Harry, because in his mind no one’s were better than his. He was so proud of his babies. He shall be missed by all but never forgotten, please come and join us at 1pm on April 4 at the home of Julie & Bill Ring to celebrate his life at 30230 152nd Ave Se Kent, Wa 98042.
