Harold E.D. Stevens, 78 of Homedale, Idaho formerly of Spokane, WA, died Jan 28, 2010 in Homedale. Harold was born July 19, 1931 at Spokane, WA the son of Homer and Edna Stevens. He was raised and educated at Worley, ID. Harold received his Bachelors and Masters Degree from the University of Idaho. After his commitment to the US Air Force he continued his education at Stanford doing research in international affairs. He then moved to Spokane WA where he taught in the Spokane Public School system until his retirement. In 2008 he moved to the Wilder area to be near his sister and her family. Harold enjoyed growing up on the farm in Worley and worked every summer and other vacations on the family 's S/ S Ranch. He loved to be around the horses and equipment. He also enjoyed helping his cousin Dean Stevens at Priest River and Priest Lake. Harold loved to walk. He would walk up to Huckleberry's every morning for his morning coffee and a visit with many of his friends. His other interests included reading, writing and watching his favorite sports teams. Harold is survived by his sister Julia (James) Truesdell, two nephews Steve (Carmen) Truesdell and Michael (Melissa) Truesdell, all of Wilder, ID a niece Kimberly (Jeff) Miller of Lansing KS. He is also survived by cousins Dean (Carla) Stevens, Leila Hickman, Don (Neen) Morrison, Louise (Tony) VanVliet. He is preceded in death by his parents A special thank-you to the Parma Living Center and Owyhee Health and ReHab for their wonderful care during the last few months. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Golden Gate Baptist Church in Wilder on Sunday Feb 7 at 1:30. A memorial service in the Worley area will be held at a later date. Service Information
