Harold Wayne Farmer, 75, husband of Dorothy Farmer, passed away Friday, September 13, 2019. He was born in Corbin, Kentucky on February 16, 1944 to the late Roscoe and Oma Ballard Farmer. He was a veteran of the US Army and the US Army Reserves, serving during the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. A painter by trade, Harold enjoyed being self-employed. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Angela Marie (Malcom) Hunter, Versailles; his son Jeff (Joy) Farmer, Versailles; his sister Alice Farmer Bennett, Corbin; his grandchildren Kayla King, Emily King, Austin King, Paxton Farmer, and Ridge Farmer; as well as his great grandchildren Ethan Hisle and Carver Holland. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd, Frankfort. A Graveside Service will be held 10:00am, Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville. Austin King, Paxton Farmer, Michael Bennett, Malcom Hunter, Will Selby, and Brent Farmer will serve as Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Memorial Contributions be made to the Woodford County Humane Society.
