GODWIN, Harold C., 88, of Wesley Chapel, FL passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011. He was born in New York, NY and moved to FL in 2003. Harold was a WWII Army veteran and a bugler. He was a welder with the Navy Department for 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1068, Harlem, NY and Post 140, Atlanta, GA. He was a member of St. Mark AME Church, Queens, NY and Victorious Life Church, Wesley Chapel, FL. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie. He is survived by his daughters, Scharolyn Godwin-Pryor of Wesley Chapel, FL and Vernell Williams of New York; grandchildren, Daryl J. Williams and Dana M. Williams; great granddaughter, Arion Jade Stevenson; Sisters in law, Gertrude Godwin of PA and Rita Godwin of NY; nieces and nephews, Lorraine Godwin, Kenneth Leacock, Rosalind Ligon, Phyllis Brown and Joseph “Ricky” Godwin, Jr.; and many more family members and friends. Donations may be made to Baldomero Lopez State Verterans Nursing Home in Land O’ Lakes, Fl.
