October 7, 1925 -September 24, 2015 Harold was born in Siloam Springs, AR to Reverend Claude E. Haddock and Avra Elizabeth Douthit. Harold moved to Yuba City with his family as a teenager. He graduated from Yuba City High where he participated in all sports, however, baseball was his passion. Before graduation, Harold volunteered to serve in the Army Air Core. Harold was in pilot training at the end of the war. He continued playing basketball and baseball after high school. Harold played semi pro baseball for the Yuba City Bears. Harold married his high school sweetheart, Zenadia E. McCray in June of 1945. He worked for Del Monte Corporation for 40 years, beginning as an irrigator and worked his way up to superintendent of ranches until the Del Monte ranches were sold. Harold retired as buyer for Del Monte securing contracts for peaches from local growers. Hal, as he was known by his friends, loved to be of service to others. He was part of the patrol that manned the levees during the 1955 floods. He was a reserve Sheriff Deputy with Sutter County. Because of Harold's great love for baseball, he petitioned the city to donate land for the building of Sutter Buttes Little League park. He and his peers donated money, equipment and many hours in building the little league facilities on Market Street, as well as becoming some of the first team managers. Harold and his sweetheart Zee, traveled the United States in their RV for 25 years, and loved every minute of it. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Madeline Kruger and Lela May Aivaz; brother Donald Haddock and grandson Brian Haddock Jr. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Zenadia E. Haddock; daughter Denise Haines of Yuba City; son Brian Haddock of The Colony, TX; brother Howard Haddock of Tempe, AZ; grandchildren Michael Haines of Sutter, Tracy Haines of Fair Oaks, Ryan Haddock of Layton, UT, Adam Haddock of Little Elm, TX, Jordan Haddock of The Colony, TX, Brianne Haddock of The Colony, TX and Whitney Countryman of West Jordan, UT; great-grandchildren Raina Haines, Christopher Haines, Hailey Haddock, Addyson Haddock, Ryder Haddock, Zoie Haddock, Lyla Haddock, Lila Haddock, Liam Countryman and Charlotte Countryman and great-great- grandchild Paige Haines Harold is greatly loved and missed by his family. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of his life on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 1-3 pm at LDS Church, 520 Clark Ave., Yuba City.
