Harold Lloyd Halfhill
June 19th, 1942 - February 16th, 2018
Harold Lloyd Halfhill, 75, of Richmond, KY passed away at the UK Markey Cancer Center from complications of thyroid cancer on February 16, 2018. He was born on June 19, 1942 in Maysville, KY. He was the son of the late L.C. Halfhill and Adalyn Halfhill of Maysville. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Anita Kaye Halfhill (Plummer). A son Harold "Chip" Halfhill II, MD and daughter in law Sonya S. Halfhill (Rooks) of Paducah and daughter Heather Leigh Halfhill of Richmond, KY. Grandchildren Alec Tyler and Hunter Ashton Halfhill of Paducah and Dakota Thomas and Kayleigh Ann Powell of Richmond, KY. He is also survived by two sisters Vicki Whitmore (Mike) of Tennessee and Andrea Tolle (Tom) of Wallingford, KY. He graduated from Orangeburg High School in 1960 as valedictorian and graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1965. He worked for the majority of his career for IBM in Lexington and Boulder Colorado, but also worked for Lexmark International and Kaba Mas in Lexington until 2017. He loved to fish throughout Kentucky but particularly on Kentucky Lake. He also traveled annually to fish in Ontario, Canada and fished in Alaska. He was cherished by his friends and family and will be greatly missed by all. The family is planning a celebration of Harold's life for family and friends on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 5-8 PM at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing-601 E. Brannon Rd. Nicholasville, KY 40356.
