Harold Niblock
September 11th, 1945 - March 17th, 2015
Harold Ray “Butch” Nibock, 69, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the Aurora Medical Center in Aurora, CO. He was born to the late Harold L. Niblock and Margarite Lucas Niblock on September 11, 1945, in Shreveport, LA., and was the first of three children. Butch graduated from Simla High School in 1964. Soon after graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. While stationed in Fort Stewart, GA., he met and married, Kay Frances Howell on January 26, 1968, in Ridgeland, South Carolina. Two children, Michelle and Shane, were born to this union. Butch worked many years in the transportation industry, where he enjoyed driving truck, brokering loads or just visiting over a glass of tea with his buddies at the area truck stops. His favorite pastimes included family trips to Saguache, going hunting, watching his granddaughter rodeo, going to baseball games and above all, spending time with the love of his life, Kay. Butch is survived by his wife Kay, of 47 years and son Shane, of Aurora, CO.; his daughter Michelle Hashbarger and husband Gordon, of Saguache, CO., and their daughter Jensen Maez and her husband Kyle, of Center, CO; his two sisters, Vicki Poss, husband Jerry, of Nebraska and their children, Norman, Kari, Steven, Leslie and their families; and Candy Noah, wife, of the late Steve Noah and their two sons, Casey, Grant and their families; plus many close friends and relatives too numerous to mention. A small gathering of immediate family members and close friends was held at Fort Logan Cemetery on April 17, 2015, where Butch was laid to rest. The family wishes to thank all of those who called to offer condolences, spoke a kind word or shared your fondest memories of Butch, during this difficult time.
