Harriet Amy Anderson
May 28th, 1926 - May 11th, 2015
Harriet A. Anderson of Waukesha passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the age of 88 years. She was born in White Creek, WI, the daughter of Ira and Nina Dunn. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Waukesha. Harriet worked for RTE Company which became Cooper Electrical. She was a great crafter; knitting, crocheting, quilting and sewing. Her grandchildren knew her as the "Big Cookie Baker". She loved flowers and gardening around her home. In her younger years she enjoyed sports; bowling, golf and Square Dancing with her late husband. Harriet will be sadly missed by her children, Nina (Rick) Schlidt of Hartland, Amy (Doug) Limburg of Utah and Rita (Steven) Wrighton of East Troy; stepchildren, Ron (MaryJane) May of Ohio, Sandra Bilsky of Ohio and Jim (Karen) May of Florida. She is further survived by ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Paul Dunn of Water Town, WI, Ben Dunn of California, Doris Portz of Verona, WI and Tom Dunn of California; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Owen Anderson and second husband, Claude Arnold; brothers, Robert and Glen Dunn. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Family Center (West North) Chapel, 13235 W. Capitol Dr. Brookfield, WI 53008. The Rev. Dan Schwerin will be officiating. The burial will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Harriet's name to the Alzheimer's Assoc. Southeastern WI Chapter for Research, 620 S. 76th St. Ste. 160 Milwaukee, WI 53214 would be appreciated. The family would like to thank, Oakhill Terrace, Linden Court, East Troy Manor and as of late Season's Hospice, for the wonderful comfort and care they showed Harriet throughout the years.
