Mastry, Harriette V. Taranko, 84, of St. Petersburg, died Monday April 30, 2001 at Bayfront Medical Center. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, she came here in 1930 from Bronx, New York. A 1934 graduate of St. Petersburg High School, she was a secretary for McEachern Insurance and Earl Gresh, she was a real estate agent for Mastry Realtors, a Girl Scout Leader, a Cub Scout Leader and a winner of the Suncoast Tarpon Round-Up. She was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Cathedral, where she served on the Altar Guild. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Lay N. Mastry; 5 daughters, Jan Strimer, Mary Jo Mastry and Cindy L. Mastry, all of St. Petersburg, and Sherry L. Frazer and Sandy H. Holdridge, both of Dunedin, Florida; 2 sons, Gary M. Mastry of Punta Gorda, Florida and Richard A. Mastry of St. Petersburg; a half-brother, Alexander Taranko of New York; 18 grandchildren, Jennifer Mastry Partain of Melbourne, Florida, Jeffrey Mastry, Gary Mastry, II, Patti Sylvester, Ronald Sylvester, Brad LeCompte, Gregory LeCompte, Justin Mastry, Sara Mastry and Seth Mastry, all of St. Petersburg, Janelle Holdridge, Christopher Holdridge and Ryan Frazer, all of Dunedin, Florida, Julie Strimer Wells of Killeen, Texas, Adam Strimer of South Carolina, Kimble Frazer of Salt Lake City, Utah, Randall Frazer of Wichita, Kansas and Jay Frazer of Tallahassee, Florida; 8 great grandchildren; and 22 nieces and nephews.
