Harry Allen Bryant How does one start an obituary? How do you sum up the entire life of a person in just a few lines? How can you capture the kindness, the giving spirit, the unique personality of someone with words? It’s simple really, you look at his family. Harry Allen Bryant was born to Edna in Camden, New Jersey on June 9th, 1927.He had a sister, Evelyn and two brothers, George and Bill. As soon as he was able, he signed up for the Air Force, and became the most dedicated cook in World War II. While stationed at Lowry Air Force Base, he attended a boxing match where he met the love of his life, Betty Lee Aragon. Briefly returning to New Jersey only to inform his mother he was getting married, he returned to Denver and proceeded to settle down; working as a truck driver, in a grocery store, at the Paramount Theater and finally for Lloyd’s Furs, all the while creating a great family. First to be born was Harry Bryant Jr, better known as Zip. Next came Pat, then Dale, Danny, Doug, and finally Tom. He told us that he was trying for a daughter, but little did he know that his sons would grant his wish by giving him some incredible daughter-in-laws; Ann, Paula, Mary, Kodi and Marie. One of the greatest joys that Harry had was the family gatherings where everyone would get together and he would be surrounded by his grandkids, Chris, James, Kelly, Tiffany, Janelle, Alex, Josh, Justin, Jason, Tommy Lee, Brandon, and Haily and his great-grand kids, Landon and Evan. During these gatherings he would entertain us all with stories of his life, like road trips with his mother-in-law, Jackie, and his wife, or about the famous movies stars he met while working at the Paramount, or about the people who lived in his building, the Silvercrest in Denver. With such a huge family and so many friends, there was always something to talk about, so talk he did. On June 17th, 2008 we lost a great man, one of the sweetest person’s I have ever known. The loved ones he has left behind will never forget the impact he has had on their lives. Harry tried to teach by example, he taught his kids about the things that matter the most in life, honesty, hard work and above all – family. Goodbye Harry, we love you and we will miss you, until we meet again.
