Davis, Harry N. Sr., 88, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital. He was born on October 10, 1919 in Macon, GA to Dr. James and Amy Davis predeceased. A committed Christian, he was married to his loving wife, Barbara for 70 wonderful years. Harry was a WWII B24 Bomber Pilot, flying 155 combat missions in the China Burma & India C.B.I. theatre, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross. A financial advisor since 1953, he was one of only two ever elected to the Hall of Fame of Waddell & Reed. Harry was past president and hall of fame member of the Civitan Club of St. Petersburg and a member of numerous civic organizations to include: Air Force Association, Reserve Officers Association, Phi Delta Theta, Tampa BASHA C.B.I., Over the Hill Gang and a Gold member of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. Survivors include; one daughter, Edith Martin of Punta Gorda, FL, two grandsons; Erroll Davis Martin, of St. Pete Beach and Evann Martin of Punta Gorda, FL. He was the remaining survivor of six siblings. Visitation will be Sunday, October, 21, 2007 from 5:00 till 7:00PM and services will be on Monday, October, 22, 2007 at 10:00AM, with reception following on site at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home Tyrone Chapel, 7820 38th Ave. N, St. Petersburg, FL 33710.
