Harvey Earl Hayden Sr.
June 1st, 1937 - May 14th, 2024
A lifetime Manatee County resident, the descendent of early Florida settlers, Harvey Earl Hayden, Sr. passed away peacefully in the presence of family on May 14, 2024. He was born on June 1, 1937, to the late Dempsey Granville Hayden and Hollie Mae Wingate Hayden in Manatee County. A 1956 graduate of Manatee High School, he was retired from the School Board of Manatee County, and was a lifelong resident of the Samoset community. Mr. Hayden was twice widowed and is preceded in death by his first wife, Ramona, and his second wife, Linda. Also preceding him in death were his son, Earl, and daughter, Trina, along with his brother and both parents. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Hayden of Bradenton, FL, grandchildren, Christopher Hayden of Bradenton, FL, Shakeisha Holton Gray (Jason) of Winston-Salem, NC, Brandi Holton (Heather) of Bradenton, FL, and very close sons in love Roy Holton (Debbie) of Pilot Mountain, NC and Gary Huffman of Bradenton, FL. He was also a great-grandfather of nine. Mr. Hayden was a long-standing member of Bethany Baptist Church in Myakka City, FL.
