Harvey Julius Lein
June 16th, 1919 - November 27th, 2011
HARVEY J. LEIN; age 92 of Jefferson passed away on November 27, 2011 at the Hospice Care Center in Johnson Creek. He was born on June 16, 1919 in Edgerton Wisconsin, son of the late Oscar and Judith (Orsby) Lein. He married Anne Ban on November 27, 1971 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Rome. Harvey served in the United States Air Force during World War II, in the South Pacific for 34 months, the Guadalcanal- Island of Fire, New Guinea, and Russell Island. He received the Conduct Award, Liberty of Congress, and 4 Bronze Stars. Harvey participated in the Jefferson Middle Schools War Time Remembrances Legion of Merit. He is survived by his wife Anne of Jefferson. Daughter; Kathleen (Thomas) Rogers of Wayzata, Minnesota Stepdaughter; Barbara Ann (Roger) Harrison of Watertown Stepson; Bradley (Jan) Beyer of Columbus 11 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson One brother Bennie (Cecile) Lein of Sun City, Arizona He is preceded in death by his first wife Marion (Stackle) Lesniak, one daughter; Christie Brandt, and brother Leroy Lein Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday December 1, 2011 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson, with the Rev. Matthew Smith-Laubenstein officiating. Burial with full Military honors will follow at the Union Cemetery in Jefferson. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Those wishing to express sympathies through donations may direct memorials to the Jefferson Rainbow Hospice 147 Rockwell Street, Jefferson, WI 53549 in Harvey's name.
