Kernersville-Hasani N'Namdi Victorious Wesley, 11, died December 19, 2012. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 3:00PM Sunday December 23, 2012 at The Bridge in Kernersville. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the church. A native of Forsyth County, Hasani was the son of Odina Blackburne Wesley and Norris D. Wesley. He attended Kernersville Elementary School through the fifth grade and was a sixth grade student at East Forsyth Middle School. He was a member of the Kernersville Raiders Football Team and Golden Fists Martial Arts International. He played basketball with the Kernersville YMCA Youth Sports program. He was an avid chess player and was a member of his school's chess club. One of Hasani's goals was to become an engineer; his drive, energy, and enthusiasm surely would have allowed him to be anything he wanted to be. Hasani's smile was the first thing people noticed and will always remember. Making friends came easily to Hasani as his caring and genuine spirit made people gravitate to him. His enthusiasm and ability to enjoy life was contagious, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors including his parents are his sister Halima Wesley and his brother Hajar Wesley; maternal grandmother Francine Blackburne; maternal grandfather Frederick Blackburne; maternal great-grandmother Gladys Thorne; aunts Cassandra Wesley, Ajile' Peterson, and Kizuwanda Blackburne; uncles Roderick Wesley, Morris Weatherly, Frederick Blackburne, and Orlando Peterson; numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.
