Hazel "Roland" Marie Burgess
July 12th, 1927 - May 17th, 2018
Hazel Marie Burgess, 90, of Parma died on Thursday, May 17th 2018 at home surrounded by her family. Hazel was born July 12th 1927 in Maysville Missouri to George & Edna (Bailey) Roland. She was educated in Missouri Hazel was married to Lavell Morley Burgess on April 5, 1959. They were solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on August 24, 1978. Lavell preceded her in death on January 12th 2010. Hazel was a homemaker and booker- keeper for the family business. Hazel loved to crochet beautiful afghans, cast a line fishing, and traveling the country with her family. She is survived by her sister, Colleen Fisher, Daughter Sylvia (Doug) Nelson, grandchildren: Lavell-Marie (David) Lasron, Roy (Tracy) Wood, Misty (James) Harris, Daniel (Courtney) Nelson, David (Kelli) Nelson, and Whitney (Brian) Thornley. great-grandchildren; Lewana (Christian) Kluth, David (Ashley) Larson, Justin Phillips, Tracy Wood, Gabriel Harris, Annabelle Nelson, Rachel Nelson, Aubrey Thornley, Joseph Nelson, Norah Nelson, Tucker Thornley, Olivia Nelson, and Franklin Nelson. Great- great grandchildren: Benjamin Kluth, Kylie Kluth, Cruz Larson, and Lily Larson. Her funeral services will be held at the Owyhee LDS Church Bldg, 848 Owyhee Ave, Nyssa, Oregon on Friday, May 25th 2018. Viewing will be from 10:00-10:45 AM, Her funeral will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Parma Cemetery, Parma, Idaho. Funeral services are under the care of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell ID.
