August 20th, 1934 - December 21st, 2010
Mrs. Hazel Louise Hobbs Gregory, 76, of Greensboro, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at 4:50 pm. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Church Street Baptist Church., with the Reverends Art McGhan, Wayne Wright and Paul Luttrell officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens. Mrs. Gregory was born August 20, 1934, in Greensboro to the late W. N. and Irela Brown Hobbs. She was married to the late Ralph C. Gregory for almost 50 years. She was a faithful member and servant of Church Street Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Lula Belle Hobbs Slack and two brothers, Roger W. Hobbs and Jesse N. Hobbs. Mrs. Gregory is survived by her daughter, Terry Gregory Smith and husband Kenn; grandsons, Bradley D. Smith and wife Wendi, and Gregory N. Smith; brothers, John H. 'Jack' Hobbs and life long friend Susan Cook, and J. Keith Hobbs and wife Fran; sister-in-law, Sue Hobbs; brother-in-law, Joe Slack; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday, December 27th at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016, American Cancer Society, 900 S Hawthorne Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or American Stroke Foundation, 5960 Dearborn Suite 100, Mission, KS 66202.
