Heather Ganfer

Heather Faith Ganfer, aged 30, passed away peacefully at Saint Anthony’s Hospital early in the morning on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024. Those in her life will remember her bright smile and how she was always ready to help someone in need. 

She was born May 11th, 1994 in New Albany, Mississippi to her biological mother Cindy Teagues. She was soon adopted by her parents, Steven and Susan (Schweitzer) Ganfer. 

Heather graduated from Gramercy Arts High School in 2012 and went on to study music theory and musical performance at Julliard. She continued her education by attending Hunter College and studying astronomy and physics and earning her Associate degree, then obtaining her cosmetology license in the state of New York after attending Empire Beauty School at Manhattan. Her last educational endeavor had been studying at the Gemological Institute of America where she received her degree as a Gemologist specialist.

Patient and loving, Heather loved children and worked with them as a Sunday school teacher to eighty children in Bay Ridge. She loved to spend her time knitting, crocheting and listening to music, always seeking creative outlets in her life. She spent her days with her friends, maintaining her connections with others who she met through her life-long love of video games and her streaming career on the Twitch platform. 

Heather is survived by her father, Steven, her older brother, Jason Ganfer, her nephews and niece, and her wife, Ambika Dennis. 

Her memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Anderson McQueen Tyrone Chapel 7820 38th Ave N. St Petersburg FL 33710

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Audubon Seabird Institute, a conservation effort that was close to her heart as she donated to them monthly.
