April 12th, 1916 - August 19th, 2005
Mrs. Helen L. Brewster, 89, resident of Montgomery Meadows in Amsterdam, passed away Friday at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam after a long illness. Born on April 12, 1916 in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth Kainoki Bodo. She was educated in the New York City schools and lived in Ridgewood, and Ozone Park, NY until most recently living in Cape Coral, FL and Fonda, NY. She was employed as an office supervisor for the New York City Department of Water for many years until her retirement. Helen was first married to Alfred J. Lynch. He passed away on August 11, 1970. She later married George Brewster and he passed away on May 28, 1991. Survivors include 3 sons, Dennis Peggy Geniti Lynch of Tribes Hill, NY, John Lynch of Huntington, Long Island, and Edward Lynch of Albany, NY; 2 daughters, Arlene Michael Klarner of Yonkers, NY, and Karen Keith Ball of Cape Coral, FL; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St., Fultonville. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211.
