“Helen was born on July 20, 1024 at home in Stamford, Conneticut to Eugene and Edna Hartlett. She was the second born of seven children. At the age of twenty she met a young Navy Seaman, James Russell Dodge at a USO Dance in New York City. They were married on November 14, 1944 in Springdale, Conneticut. They lived in Springdale until moving to Denver, Colorado in the early 1950
