Helen Lyon, 67, of Ruskin, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Helen was born on March 21, 1943 in Putnam, Connecticut to Paul and Elizabeth (Steele) Lyon. She worked in the textile industry prior to retirement. Helen enjoyed many things, especially walking. She was a prior member of Danielson Baptist Church in Danielson, CT. She moved to Florida in 1997. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Elizabeth Lyon and her nephew, Aaron Parent. Helen leaves behind her daughter, Ellen and husband, Steven; granddaughters, Caitlin and Shawna; sister, Carol Parent of Webster, Mass.; 3-foster sisters, Rose Stryczek of MO, Beverly Plasse and Ida Perkins of Conn.; nieces and nephews, Rebecca, Ty, Mia, Haley, Brandon, Andrew, and Heather. Memorial Services were held at Irongate Community, 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 15, 2010. Burial of her cremated remain will be with her parents in Grove Street Cemetery in Putnam, Conn. in July, 2011.
