Tribute Helen M. Raber, age 81 died June 7, 2021 in Littleton, CO Helen M. Jones was born on Jan 12, 1940 in Pierre, SD to Arthur and Wilma (Hunsley) Jones. Helen married Raymond Serr 1-19-1956 in Gregory, SD and moved to Colorado. They started and were part owners of Hygiene Dairy near Niwot, CO until their divorce in 1972. Together they had three daughters. She lived in Johnstown, Longmont, Niwot, Hygiene and Berthoud areas. Helen married Donald (Shorty) Raber in June 1983. He died after a tragic car accident. Helen worked at several places in the area over the years including local cafes, Gibson’s, Longmont Dairy Farms, and Allstate Insurance. Helen retired in 1999. Helen enjoyed sewing, crafts, and baking. She made many quilts over the years and shared her baking with friends. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, her step-father Arthur Webster, 5 siblings, two husbands, and her long-term companion Robert (Bud) DeJong. Helen is survived by her daughters Debra (Greg) Liberatore, Barbara (Ron Sprinkle) Serr, and Annette (Charles) Wagner; her grandchildren Caleb (Jessica) Liberatore, Jacob (Sarah) Liberatore, Rachel (Dan Griffin) Liberatore, Daniel Sprinkle, David (Hayley) Sprinkle, Joshua Wagner, and Zachery Wagner; her great-grandchildren Audrey Liberatore, Nora Liberatore, Paisley Liberatore, and Noah Sprinkle; her siblings Ruby Gooden, Jack Jones, and Beverly Jennings; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be interned in Mountain View cemetery in Longmont after cremation. No services planned at this time.
