Helen Christina Soto
August 29th, 1929 - May 25th, 2020
Helen Christina Soto, 90, of Greeley passed away May 25, 2020 at her home, surrounded by family. She was born August 29, 1929 in Eaton to Alfredo and Magdalena (Romero) Olivas. She attended Arlington school and graduated from Greeley High in 1949. Her breakfast club friends would later become the 49’ers. Helen married Rafael C. Soto on April 16, 1950 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Greeley. She was employed with School District 6 in the food service department for 26 years before retiring. Helen loved the Colorado Rockies, Denver Broncos and her time on Facebook. In earlier years she participated in a bowling league and cake decorating. She was an avid walker but most enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Helen was a member of the Altar and Rosary Societies at Our Lady of Peace. She was currently a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where she attended Mass. Survived by her children; Urban (Inez) Soto, Madeline (John) McNeill, Annette (Robert) Petrie, Phyllis Loya and Hod (Tracy) Soto, ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, sisters; Delores Antuna, Ruby Andrade and Pauline Soto. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her sister, Sally Ramirez. Visitation will be held from 1-7 p.m. Monday, June 1 at Adamson, please wear masks. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorial gifts may be made to "Pathways Hospice” or "St. Mary Catholic Church” in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.
