Helen passed away on Dec 21, 2013. She was 103 years young. Helen had a curiosity about life and all the changes that she experienced. She loved to share wonderful stories from her past. Helen lived a full, healthy and happy life. Helen was a beautician and a business owner, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, crafting and quilting. Helen is survived by her daughter, Jeanie Fernandez (Genaro), 5 grandchildren, Bruce DeWitt (Melanie), Jill Dove, Samira Hafid, John Reed (Tanya), and Brad Reed (Martha). She is further survived by 6 great grandchildren and a new edition of a great, great granddaughter. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomson, of 55 years; her daughter, Gloria Reed and her grandson, Scott Reed. Helen will be greatly missed by family and friends. She would want everyone to celebrate her life and to keep her in our memories and our hearts.
