Warner Robins: Henrietta P. Byars, 81, passed away Monday October 9, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Byars, the daughter of the late DeForest and Clara Sprayberry Parker of Summerville, was born in Chattooga County on August 25, 1925. She was a member of the Centerville Church of Christ. Mrs. Byars was known for her beautiful alto voice. Prior to moving to Warner Robins, she sang in quartets, on the radio and competed in vocal competitions in the Summerville area. She was preceded in death by her son J. David Byars Jr., Juris Doctor, her sisters Irene Parker Miller, Martha Mae Parker Barrett and granddaughter Leigh Byars Roberts. Survivors include her husband of 60 years John David Byars and daughter Phyllis Byars Corley both of Warner Robins. Brothers: George D. Parker of Interlachen, FL and William H. ?Billy? Parker of Lyerly. Grandchildren: Tanya Corley Cox and her fiance’ Bill Hrizuk, Heather Flint Byars Shepherd, Stephen Roberts. Great grandchildren: Brittney Cox and Natalie Roberts. Several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 277 MLK Jr. Blvd., Macon, GA 31201. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
