Henrietta "Heddy" Mellum McCraw

Henrietta (Heddy) Mellum McCraw, of Bluffton, SC, entered the gates of Heaven on May 16th, after a long struggle with multiple medical conditions. She is survived by her husband, Thomas. They were married for nearly 59 years. They have a son, Erik, and two granddaughters, Ansley and Daphne. Heddy is now in Heaven with their daughter, Ingrid. She has a twin sister, Doretta Mellum. Heddy loved her family, many friends, and life in Sun City Hilton Head, SC where she lived for 20 years. She will be remembered for her love of family, faith, animals, gardening, and decorating. Not only did she decorate many Sun City homes, but she decorated one of the phases of Sun City models. You can find her fondly mentioned as "Louise," the decorator, in Wanda Lane's book "Wrinkles in Paradise." She was a founding member of the popular Sun City Decor & More Group. Her garden was on display in the Avant Gardeners Club's 2018 garden tour. Once you met Heddy you never forgot her. May she rest in peace. At Heddy's request, there will be no services. Donations can be made in her name to the Palmetto Animal League.
