H. Warren Clontz, 99, of Charlotte, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Novant Medical Center, Charlotte. Mr. Clontz was born May 23, 1920 in Union County, NC to the late Joe A. Clontz and Dora Crook Clontz. He is survived by his son, Ray Clontz and wife, Patti, of Charlotte; 2 grandsons and one step-grandson; 8 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Simpson Clontz and by 3 brothers and 6 sisters. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 15, 2019 in the Chapel of J. B. Tallent Funeral Service, 1937 Sharon Amity Road, Charlotte with The Reverend James Weddington, of Eastern Hills Baptist Church, officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 A.M. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 4855 Albemarle Road, Charlotte, NC 28205 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
