Henry J. Krota

"W. Springfield, Henry J. Krota, 95, died peacefully at home on Monday, December 01, 2014. Born in Springfield, August 31, 1919, he was the son of Michael and Lena (Kulpa) Krota. Henry grew in Springfield and then moved to W. Springfield in 1948. He enlisted and served in the Army during WWII and was a desk sergeant for the Royal Air Force Burtonwood, England (also known as USAAF station 590) supply depot. He formerly owned the Regal Café in Springfield for many years, before retiring in 1984. He later was a delivery person for his late wife's business, Atlas Brass and Aluminum in W. Springfield. In his retirement, he was a delivery person for Maryniski Palmer Flower Shop for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene (Galaska) Krota who died in 1991. He will be deeply missed by his daughter Holly Maryniski and her husband David of W. Springfield, along with his precious granddog and cats that he loved. All services were entrusted to Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home and were held privately. For those wishing, please make donations in his memory to Dakin Animal Shelter or a rescue shelter of one's choice. "
