Henry D. Ross

Henry D. Ross III, 24, of Lakeview Rd., Mayfield, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Friday December 23, 2016 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, NY. Born in Gloversville, NY on March 17, 1992 a son of Henry D. and Maria Zarrelli Ross Jr. Henry was a 2010 graduate of Mayfield High School. He was currently employed at G.E. in Schenectady in the Turbine Division. Henry believed in living life to the fullest. He enjoyed spending time with his long list of close friends. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying several activities near his home town including hunting, fishing, boating and snowmobiling. He also dedicated much of his time to his true passion of racing starting but not ending with Delaney Motorsports. Years of racing changed friendships into extended family. He was also a former member of the Mayfield Vol Fire Dept. Henry was of the Roman Catholic Faith. He is survived by his loving parents, Henry D. Ross Jr. and Maria Zarrelli Ross of Mayfield, NY. His Paternal Grandfather, Henry "Hank" Ross Sr. of Amsterdam. Godmother and Aunt, Cindi Ross of Amsterdam. Aunt, Mindy Ross of of Amsterdam. Aunt, Penny Ross of Hagaman, NY and Aunt, Missy Ross of Amsterdam. Godfather and Uncle, Anthony and Aunt Lisa Zarrelli of Perth, NY. Uncle, Jay and Aunt Kathy Zarrelli of Gloversville, NY and Uncle, Michael and Aunt Leslie Zarrelli of Silver Springs, MD. Great Aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. He was predeceased by his Maternal Grandmother, Gloria Zarrelli, Paternal Grandmother, Jackey Ross, cousin, Dallas Sperow and an Aunt, Sandra J. Ross-VanDeusen. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday December 31, 2016 at 10:00A.M. at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 149 South Main St., Gloversville, NY, with Father Donald Czelusniak presiding. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010. We decided to do something Henry loved which was "Sunday Funday" at Lanzi's on the Lake. The money raised money will go towards getting snowmobiles for the association to get help to people in need on the lake faster.
