Herman Anaya

Herman Moises Anaya (August 18, 1932 – December 26, 2017) Herman Anaya Sr., 85 passed away peacefully at his home in Tajique, NM on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. Herman was born and raised in Tajique and a pillar of his community. Herman has been a lifelong resident of Tajique where he and his loving wife Amadita of 54 years of marriage raised a family. He was a member of the San Antoinio Catholic Church and a devout member of the Democratic Party. Herman is preceded in death by his wife Amadita G Anaya, parents Juan and Marcofla Anaya, daughter Baby Jeanette Anaya, Brothers Diego Sanchez and Olivero Anaya, sisters Irene Vigil, Mary Hidalgo, and Leandrita Lance. He is survived by his Daughters Jeanette Barela, Lorraine Perea, Polly Conant, and Sons Herman Anaya Jr., Martin Anaya, and Larry Anaya. Brother Biterbo Anaya and wife Peggy, sister Rosie Urban and Husband Manuel, and sister, Delora Barela and husband Victor, Sister in laws Islinda Sanchez, Rita Sedillo and husband Nick, Frances Herrera and husband Ignacio, Brother in law Mariano Garcia and wife Onila. 13 Grandchildren, Juan, Leanette, Leandrito, and Jacob Barela, Sarah Perea, Julio, Sophia, and Veronica Anaya, Hailey, and Marcus Anaya, Moises Fidel, Alicia, and Olivia Anaya and 27 great grandchildren any nephew and nieces. Services will be held at St. Peter and Paul in Estancia, NM. Rosary at 10am, Mass at 11am, Burial to follow at San Antonio Church in Tajique, NM. Pallbearers: Jacob Barela, Moises Fidel Anaya, Julio Anaya, Jerry Montoya, Rudy Lesperance, Joseph David Hidalgo. Honorary Pllbearers: All grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
