Herman “Bart” Corrie passed away Wednesday February 22nd at the age of 86. Herman “Bart” was born in Massachusetts on November 20, 1936. In 1938 the entire Corrie family moved to Hayward California, where his two (now deceased) brothers, Douglas and Raymond were born. Herman “Bart” graduated from Hayward High in 1954. He was in the Air Force for two plus years and then worked for Kaiser/Crown Can plant in Union City for more than 30 years. When the plant closed, he went on to his dream job of becoming a teamster where he worked for Hill Brothers in San Jose. Upon retiring in 2006 he moved to Idaho which he dearly loved. He was a loving and devoted husband of Carol Corrie for 32 years. A loving father of 8 merged children, Cindi Corrie of Oregon, Chris Corrie of North Carolina, Terry Hensley of Arizona, Douglas Corrie of Oklahoma, Daphne MacDougall of Nevada, Daniel Corrie of Florida, preceded him in death, Debbie Danenberg and Darrin Corrie. He was also the very proud grandfather of 30, Great grandfather of 31 along with being the Great - Great grandfather of 6. He loved music, old cowboy shows, his precious dogs and fishing, most of all he loved all his family.
