Herman Peter Fingar

Herman Peter (“Pete”) Fingar, Jr., an independent thinker and brilliant visionary, gently passed away at Melech Hospice House on August 4, 2021. Born in Tampa, Florida on October 17, 1946, Peter lived a rich, full life. He wrote articles, taught in colleges and universities, consulted, delivered keynotes worldwide and published 26 books, beginning in the 1970s as a data processing pioneer in the United States and the Middle East. www.peterfingar.com & https://cognitiveworld.com/peter-fingar He took delight in the natural world and found happiness in simple things. He always enjoyed sharing his time and talent and encouraging others. He bore health challenges over the last decade with grace and cheerfulness until the end of his life. He was dearly loved and left behind a wife, daughter, son, granddaughters, siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews. He left behind beloved colleagues, friends and neighbors, too. He will be missed. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date when covid numbers reach a safer level for gathering. In the meantime, if you’d like to honor Peter’s life, consider planting a tree or food-bearing plant, contributing to a worthy cause, or simply reflecting with gratitude on this miraculous existence we are blessed with, as Peter did each day.
