Herman "Chayim Ben Yisroel" Solomon
November 10th, 1920 - March 29th, 2014
Herman Solomon, 93 years old, a 24 year resident of Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014. Herman was born November 10, 1920 in Philadelphia, PA. He served in the Navy during World War II, then had a career working for the US government at the Frankford Arsenal in Philadelphia. After retirement he moved to California, where together with his wife Sue, had a glass and mirror business. They later moved to Florida and relocated to Las Vegas in 1990. Herman enjoyed sports, playing live poker and watching the stock market. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sue Solomon; son Michael, three grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; all of Eugene, OR. He is also survived by his niece Iris Bronstein and nephew Donald (Helene) Silber. A memorial service will be held at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, #104, Las Vegas, NV 89147, at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 6, 2014. Contributions in Herman's memory may be made to Brandeis National Committee.
