Hester Juanita Chapman, age 88 of Kingsport, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 26, 2024.  Juanita was born on April 23, 1936, in Kingsport, TN to George and Loreen Parsons.  Juanita worked for several years as a CNA at Holston Valley Medical Center.   

Juanita enjoyed sewing, quilting, and reading.  More importantly, she sewed threads of love for her family and these threads will never fray.   

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Claude Parsons.  Those left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Anita Chapman, Janet Chapman, and Karen Chapman; her special daughter, Catherine Burgess; and her three sisters, Nannie Steffey, Colean Chapman, and Elsie Richmond. 

There will be a graveside service to honor Juanita’s life on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11:00 am at Holston View Cemetery with Pastor Allen McMillan officiating.  Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to arrive at the cemetery at 10:50 am.  The family requests that all guests dress casually.
