Homer Bloodworth was born on March 10, 1937 in Macon, Georgia and passed away peacefully on January 12, 2022. Mr. Bloodworth was a member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church and their Sunday school program. He served honorably in the United States Naval reserve and retired from Robins Air Force Base after 36 years of service. After his retirement, he volunteered with Meals on Wheels and Heart of Georgia Hospice. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sandra K Bloodworth; daughter, Debra Elaine Glass (Steve); son, Michael Allan Bloodworth (Janice). He also had seven grandchildren; Alex Glass (Kristin), Zack Glass (Katya), Drew Glass (Jackie), Jordie Holland (Logan), Phillip Bloodworth, Morgan Bloodworth (Justin); and Janna Sinclair (Josh), and seven great grandchildren. He has preceded in death by his parents, Mamie Ruth and Henry Otis Bloodworth, and a brother, Dr. Torrey Bloodworth. Services will be held at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Saturday, January 15, 2022, 11 :00 AM. Internment will immediately follow at Parkway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The friends can greet the family one hour prior to services, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. A special thanks and acknowledgment to a special angel and caregiver Meghan Wheeler and the staff at Canopy. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice.
