It is with heavy hearts and much love that the family of Homer Dennis Powell announces his sudden passing on Friday, October 2, 2020 at the age of 77 in North Charleston, South Carolina. Homer will be forever and sadly missed by his wife, Paula Buckley Powell of 28 years, his two daughters, Denise L. Harris and Debi Valentine (Jim), his sister Marsha Hall, his two stepsons, George and Justin Buckley, his son-in-law Terry L. Longworth (Glori), all of his 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, and all of his nieces and nephews. Homer will be remembered for the love for his family, his church friends, and everyone that knew him. Homer loved visiting family and helping out everyone that he could. He was loved so much by everyone. He will leave a deep impression in all of our hearts. Upon Paula's request, there will be a funeral and a viewing at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 8720 Antler Drive, North Charleston, SC 29406-9011. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a GoFundMe page on Facebook.
