Howard Orrin “Bubbie” Jackson, age 66, of Las Vegas, passed away on January 10, 2017. Howard was born October 27, 1950 in Louisiana to the late Howard Joseph Jackson and Sydalese B. Ballard-Jackson. He was a graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge, Lousiana. He married his wife Melanie Watt on October 15, 2005 and worked for AK Steel Corporation, the Houston Police Department and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Howard is survived by his wife Melanie Jackson; sons Edward Jackson, Brian Jackson, and Terence Jackson; daughters Melanie Thomas, Nicolette Toshi, and Gena Lucio; four grandchildren; mother Sydalese B. Jackson; and sisters Trennie Jackson-Higgins and Ira Johnson. He is predeceased by his father Howard Joseph Jackson. A funeral service will be held on January 13, 2017 at 1:00pm at Kraft Sussman Funeral and Cremation Services, 3975 S. Durango #104, Las Vegas, NV 89147.

I am so sorry to hear of Howards passing...I worked with him for short time on LVMPD in patrol, before transferring elsewhere...Howard was a good man, and great person to work with...was shocked to hear he passed today from some other metro members...he will be missed by many I am sure.
