The journey on earth for Howard ended on July 22, 2013. A beloved Husband, Father, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, Son and Friend. He will be greatly missed. Howard was born in Reno, NV. on Nov. 27, 1961 and is survived by wife: Katie Olvera-Lund, daughters, Monica Souliere and Olivia Lund, and son, Elias Olvera, two granddaughters, Mercedes and Marinah, and a grandson, Damian. Also, by his mother Doris Lund, Sisters, Cathy Hamilton, Debbie Kanipe and Kristin Clayton and brothers, Craig Lund, Wayne Lund, Rick Lund and David Lund. Howard was raised in Sparks, Nevada, where he graduated from Sparks High. He later enlisted in the US Marine Corps and served two stints totaling approximately 8 years and specialized in Heavy Equipment Maintenance and also wrestled for the US Marine Corps. He later moved to Elko, Nevada, where he worked for Independence Gold for 10 years. He then moved to Boise, Idaho where he got his Bachelors degree in computer networking. There he met his wife, Katie and after eight years in Boise/Nampa, Idaho, went back into mining. Kevin and Katie moved to Salt Lake City 5 years ago where he was employed at Kennecott Utah Copper a Rio Tinto Property as a truck shop supervisor. My Best Friend and the Love of my life, I can't tell you goodbye Howie, You were everything to me, Everything, Katie A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 30th, 2013 from 10:00AM to 11:45AM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel at 624 Cleveland Blvd. Caldwell, ID 83605. Graveside services will follow at 12:00 PM at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, where he will be honored as a Veteran. Service Information
