Hunter Fearing Gandy, age 66, passed away Wednesday, July 3rd at her home in Cocoa Beach, Florida due to a medical event. She was born January 23, 1958 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Hunter moved with her family to Winter Haven, Florida in 1968. Growing up in Winter Haven she was active with the White Dolphins synchronized swim team, and enjoyed many trips to Siesta Key and the Florida Keys with family and friends.

Hunter attended Santa Fe High School where she was honored as Homecoming Queen and graduated in 1976. She continued her education at Auburn University, graduating in 1980 with a degree in interior design. Hunter had a 40 plus career in fabric sales working for several different companies selling to interior designers from Tampa to Orlando to Jacksonville and down the east coast to Vero Beach. Being the people person she was, it was the perfect career for her. She retired from the Nessen group in the fall of 2023.

Hunter also had a mom career. She and her family lived on Crooked Lake in Babson Park, Fl for 23 years, enjoying water activities, cooking with family and friends, and watching the children grow up. Nearing retirement, she and her husband Vance moved to Cocoa Beach, FL where they spent the last 5 years of a wonderful 36 year marriage. Hunter never met a stranger-she was a beautiful soul and the family will miss the bright light she shined on our lives every day.

Hunter was preceded in death by her parents Dexter and Edna Fearing, sister Jarman F Lowder, brothers Dexter and Mitch Fearing, father in law Vance Gandy, Jr and stepdaughter JaLeeann Johnston.
