A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene for Illetta Meredith Jefferis of Eugene, who died Jan. 22 of age-related causes. She was 85.She was born Oct. 31, 1926, in Altoona, Kan., to Hubert and Adna Richardson Moore. She married Richard Jefferis on June 18, 1944, in Oakland, Calif. He died Jan. 28, 1987.Survivors include two sons, David of Mapleton and Donald of Eugene; a brother, Carl Moore of Alamo, Calif.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.Entombment will be at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park in Hayward, Calif. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Alzheimer’s Association of Lane County in Eugene.
