Inez M. Gomoll

Inez M. Gomoll, age 85, died September 7, 2013 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI. Inez was born in 1928 in Milwaukee to parents Donald and Catherine Bohn. She graduated from Wauwatosa High School in 1945 and married Augie Gomoll in 1950. Inez worked as a secretary both before her marriage and for many years after her children went to school. For more than a decade, she ran a word processing business out of her home. She devoted her life to caring for her husband and children, sewing much of their wardrobe during the years when her children were young. Family and friends enjoyed and praised her baking skills; her Swedish Pastry and sugar cookies were legendary. She loved reading and working crossword puzzles; she was a sharp Bridge player who loved socializing and competing with her friends in Bridge tournaments. She is survived by her children, Jeanne (Scott Custis), Steve (Linda), Julie, Dan (Kelly), Danny Field (son Eric's partner), as well as her sister Donna Helwig, brother Ronnie Bohn, and five grandchildren, Sara, Eric, Amanda, Rachel and Jacob. Inez was preceded in death by her husband Augie, son Eric, and sister Charlotte Gillis. The visitation for Inez will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 13, 2013 at St. Anthony on the Lake Catholic Church, W280N2101 Prospect Ave, Pewaukee, WI 53072. The Rev. Anthony Zimmer will be officiating. Inez's ashes will be interred alongside her husband's at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Burial will be held for the family privately.
