Inez Salazar Maldonado

Inez Salazar Maldonado, 83, of Greeley, CO passed away July 14, 2021. He was born in La Pryor, TX on January 21, 1938 to Jose and Catalina (Rodriguez) Maldonado and grew up in San Antonia, TX. On November 1, 2003 he married Loretta Christina Vargas in Runnels County, Texas. They settled in Greeley in 2006. He worked as a powder man in the dynamite industry and later as a county road hand in Texas. He enjoyed mechanics, working on and restoring old cars, drag racing, fishing, watching Gunsmoke and most enjoyed time with family. Survivors include his wife, Loretta, children; Juanita Wright, Caroline (James) Mares, Josie (Joe) Dean, Elsie (Cruz) Moreno, Inez Jr., Rachel Pesina, Reynaldo (Shelly), Roy and Jesse Maldonado, step-children; Raymond Gonzales, Angelic Luna, Cassandra Rodriguez, Felix Aguero III and Frank Aguero, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, siblings; Luis Maldonado, Rosario Dacus, Alicia Maldonado, Arnulfo (Trina) Hernandez, Robert (Gloria) and Adolfo Salazar. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Julia Maldonado, parents, a grandson, great-grandson and his step-mother, Maria Maldonado. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Interment at Linn Grove Cemetery. Friends may leave condolences at AdamsonCares.com.
