Ing Lan Hiekel, age 57, of Las Vegas, died Saturday, January 7, 2012. Ing was born September 18, 1954 in Jakarta, Indonesia to the late Tjin Siong and the late Wise Hoo. She studied English while growing up and met her former husband, Mark Hiekel, in Indonesia. They came to the United States in the early 80's and started an airline company in Alaska. Ing helped with every aspect of the business. She grew tired of the cold and moved to Las Vegas to be closer to her children and enjoy the warm weather. Ing was an amazing cook and seamstress. She was a talented artist and enjoyed all types of exercise classes. Ing is survived by her daughter: Markissa Catherine Hiekel of San Diego CA and son Grant Marshall Hiekel of Las Vegas NV. A visitation and funeral took place on Tuesday, January 10 at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, #104, Las Vegas, NV 89147.
